CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Northern Kentucky is getting its own fashion hot spot next month, News 5's John London reported. The newly redeveloped Crestview Hills Mall in Kenton County is slated for a grand opening in late October, but already some shops and restaurants are opening their doors. The Pub had a VIP party Wednesday night, and Starbuck's was scheduled to open Friday. The $65 million project, spreading over 25 acres, will feature 73 stores, shops and restaurants, although only 70 percent of the mall will be occupied at first.
"This place now, particularly with what they've got going on here, is the place to come," Howard Bloss said.Aside from its 525,000 feet of retail space, the mall is expected to add to the value of the neighborhood."I'm actually a realtor and it's great," Cathy Musgrave said. "It's been a great asset to selling property around here."The developers envisioned the mall to cater to fasion-conscious 25- to 45-year-old women."I have to drive 20 minutes to go shopping anywhere, and it's closer to home." Jera Eudy said.
