LEBANON, Ohio -- A Warren County couple is facing drug charges after authorities found a methamphetamine lab in their home Tuesday morning, next to the room where a baby was sleeping, the Lebanon Police Department said.Neighbors complained that Gary F. Blake, 47, was producing methamphetamine at his home on Harbor Drive in Lebanon.Officers said they could smell the chemicals involved in producing meth when they arrived at the residence, and they said Blake admitted to cooking the drug when they questioned him.
The 18-month-old infant is Blake's grandchild, police said.He is charged with illegal manufacture of drugs and illegal assembly of chemicals. Blake's wife, Barbara, is charged with permitting drug abuse.The Warren County Drug Task Force and other specialists disassembled the lab and disposed of the chemicals.
