Prosecutors released new information Tuesday about a man accused of raping a 3-year-old child on the Internet.

Paul A. Kraft

Investigators said Paul A. Kraft, 31, raped a 3-year-old girl at least five times and broadcast the rape live on the Internet at least twice, News 5 Emily Longnecker reported.

Kraft was indicted Tuesday on five counts of rape and 12 counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter with a minor.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said he wishes he could give Kraft the death penalty.

"Unfortunately, we can't seek the death penalty," Deters said. "This kind of Internet stuff (is) the kind of stuff you'd expect to see in southeast Asia, but it happened in Hamilton County, Ohio," he said.

Deters did not hold his tongue when he spoke to News 5 Tuesday.

"Just when you think (you've seen) the lowest point of human depravity, someone like Paul Kraft comes along," he said. "There's a lot of perverted scum out there."

Police said last week an undercover Secret Service agent met Kraft in an online chat room called pre-teen, baby and toddler sex.

According to the agent, Kraft offered to rape a 3-year-old live on the Internet if another person would do the same so Kraft could watch.

The undercover agent contacted Hamilton County sheriff's deputies, who went to Kraft's home, questioned and arrested him.

Investigators are still examining Kraft's computer. They said they've found child pornography on the hard drive.

Kraft is facing a life sentence without parole for each of the rape counts.

"Our goal is to make sure (he) never (does) this to another child," Deters said.
