UPDATED: 2:24 pm EST January 9, 2005

A man throwing clothing out of an upper-story window suffered electrical burns when some of the clothing fell on a power line and the man touched the line trying to retrieve the clothing.

The victim suffered electrical burns to about 40 percent of his body and was transported to University Hospital. He is said to be in stable condition.

This happened late Sunday morning at the Parkway Towers apartments on Central Parkway at Linn Street in the West End.

The victim was throwing clothing to a person on the ground.
