Kentucky Pair Accused Of Sodomizing Homeless Man
Suspects Face Serious Charges
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Two Kentucky men are behind bars for allegedly beating and sodomizing a homeless man behind a Salvation Army.Clifton Agnew was attacked Tuesday night behind the building near the intersection of Breckinridge Road and Brook Street in downtown Louisville, according to Louisville television station WLKY.Police said Agnew was sleeping when Tyreese Hall and Derek Edmonds started attacking him, and tried to steal his wallet. The men allegedly used a crock pot to attack their victim, WLKY reported.
Then the suspects removed Agnew's pants and sodomized him with a stick, boards and bottles, according to police.Investigators said the attack was so severe that it caused internal injuries all the way up in Agnew's chest cavity, WLKY reported.Those who know Agnew said he keeps to himself on the streets."I worked with him," Agnew's friend, Everett Prater, said. "He was a good worker. He did nothing wrong. He worked himself until he almost fell dead. What brought this on I don't know."Hall and Edmonds have both been charged with attempted murder, robbery and sodomy, WLKY reported.Agnew is in intensive care at University Hospital, and is listed in serious condition.
