STANFORD, Ky. -- Police in Franklin, Ky., and Simpson County authorities are searching along Interstate 65 after a woman sought for questioning in the abduction of a baby was apprehended Friday morning.

The woman who was sought, Tanya Sholtz, of Lexington, Ky., called from Pilot Truck Stop along I-65 and police took her to the police station, Franklin Police spokesman Chris Jackson said.

There was no baby with the woman, Jackson said.

The FBI has now joined the investigation.

Officials issued an Amber Alert at about 7:30 a.m. after Grayci Barrows was reported missing from the Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford, Ky. at about 4 a.m. Barrows was born Thursday evening.

Police stopped Sholtz's car along Interstate 65 just before 8 a.m. Authorities said she was headed for Nashville.

Sholtz reportedly works at the hospital as a nurse's aide. She was questioned by police, but no charges have been filed.
