Ads Prompt Police To Bust 3 Alleged Prostitutes
Women Show Up At Downtown Hotels
CINCINNATI -- Ads on the Internet and in a local publication led to the arrests this week of three women on prostitution charges.
Angela Gibbs, 29; Dameka J. Sykes, 24; and Tara R. McRae, 28; were arrested Tuesday after someone phoned in a tip to police, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported.
After receiving the tip, Cincinnati vice officers made arrangements to meet the women in downtown hotel rooms, according to a police spokesman.
Gibbs was charged with prostitution, unlawful escort and possession of drug paraphernalia, WLWT reported.
Sykes was charged with prostitution, unlawful escort and unlicensed practice of massage, according to WLWT.
McRae was charged with promoting prostitution, soliciting for prostitution, unlawful escort, unlicensed practice of massage, police said. She was also charged on two outstanding felony warrants for forgery.
