Matthew Palinkas (pictured, left), 22, pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges, a third-degree felony.

Last week, Mayfield Heights police said they were forced to shoot and kill a 19-year-old when he tried to run at a police car naked with a knife, WEWS-TV reported.

Police believe the teen may have taken the mushrooms before the incident.

Bond for Palinkas was set at $100,000.
