The so-called “Granny Bandit” cut a deal Wednesday that would allow her to escape prosecution for a bank heist.

Barbara Joly was ordered to pay $1,000 to the Middletown bank she was accused of robbing.

In exchange, Joly will not be charged.

The 68-year-old Middletown woman is also suspected of robbing three banks in Warren County, but the prosecutor there said Joly would not be offered a similar deal.

Joly was arrested last month near the scene of one robbery, and her attorney said his client was confused.
