Three Shot, One Killed In Over-The-Rhine Attack

CINCINNATI -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Over-The-Rhine early Wednesday.

Officers said that three people were shot near Martin’s Bar in the 100 block of East McMicken Street just after midnight.

One of the victims, Shedrick Brookins, 39, died, medics said.

"He was a cool, calm, collected person who didn't bother nobody. Je stayed to himself mostly, you know?" Ricardo Headnad said. "We all know each other down here. We all grew up down here, we all going through trials and tribulations."

Wayne Thornton and Felton Mitchell were taken to University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.

Police said early Wednesday that they're looking for Reginald "Mudd" Griffin, 28, in connection with the shootings.
